The new album is out!

The Codrays

Voodoo Eyes

The Codrays are back in 2025 with Voodoo Eyesan album packed with raw blues energy, driving rock & roll, deep, soulful grooves, and a dash of country to keep things varied and fresh. This record captures the heart and soul of the band, blending old-school authenticity with a fiery modern edge.

Recorded with a no-nonsense approach, the album delivers everything from foot-stomping boogie and hard-hitting blues to rich, atmospheric ballads. With each track, we tip our hats to the legends who shaped this music while putting our own unmistakable stamp on it.

Among the original tracks, Crying in Stereo delivers a bubble-gum bluesy rock & roll vibe that’s impossible to sit still to, while Shake Like That—one of John’s earliest songs—pays homage to Chuck Berry, inspired by the Hail! Hail! Rock and Roll movie. The title track, Voodoo Eyes, is a modern rock & roll anthem with an irresistible groove, and Cold Outside, inspired by gospel legends like Ry Cooder and the Blind Boys of Alabama, takes a hard look at today’s volatile world—complete with a surprise cameo from Donald Trump.

The album also breathes new life into classics from legends like Jimmy Reed, B.B. King, and Chuck Berry, plus an amped-up take on Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues. A fresh spin on the traditional bluegrass instrumental Train 45 introduces a new bridge, making it distinctly Codrays.
